The Doernbecher x Nike Air Max 270 “Aiden Barber - Camo” is part of the 2018 Doernbecher Freestyle collection. The annual set of Nike sneakers designed by young patients at the Portland, Oregon children’s hospital included this awesome look for the Air Max 270 in 2018. Designed by Aiden Barber, who was diagnosed with a brain vascular malformation in 2015, the Doernbecher Air Max 270 features a camouflage mesh upper with gold detailing, including the black-to-gold gradient from the midsole to the giant Air bubble in the heel. Aiden’s personal motto, “Always Believe,” is found on the upper. A graphic of his brain, complete with the small titanium plates that were implanted to help save his life, appears on the insoles. The limited edition Doernbecher x Nike Air Max 270 “Aiden Barber - Camo” released in late 2018.
